Istanbul, the most crowded city in Europe and the fifth most crowded city of the world with its over 13 million population.Istanbul, 2010 European Capital of Culture, is one of the oldest cities in the world.Heritage of Istanbul is going back up to 6500 B.C. Respectively, Istanbul was the capital city of Roman Empire (330-395), East Roman Empire (395-1204 & 1261-1453), (1204-1261) Latin Empire, Ottoman Empire (1453-1922).Istanbul also was the center city of Islam from 1517 to 1924 during the time it was as center city of caliphship.
After its thousands years of historical background and beside its gorgeous contemporary face, Istanbul is absolutely a must see metropolis city.It has more than you can imagine to offer you during a visit; history, culture, art, nature wonders, amusement and man many more main categories…
I lastly visited Istanbul about two months ago and enjoyed hanging all over many different kinda places in Istanbul.While you’re walking on the street or going by any vehicle, you feel like you are in a different country, different world.
Istanbul’s colorful demography is within a great harmony and pretty impressive.Millions of people from many different nations, many different beleifs, many different colors, many different cultures are in the same city within a cultural harmony.
Passing through the bosphorus bridges that connect two great continents (Asia – Europe) each other is an excellent feeling.Taking a bosphorus tour by boat is a must have experience indeed.Historical palaces, amazing natural beauties, two impressive looking bosphorus bridges, many other historical architectural work or arts are along the bosphorus and beside the nice breeze, singing gulls following the boat…
By the reason of being capital city of many historical great civilization, Istanbul has prints of many different cultures, religions and nations within its buildings and all are united to each other within the great soul of Istanbul.Right after visiting a great historical mosque, you will have the chance to visit one of the central and eldest churches in the world then your eyes will catch up an ancient building worths visiting…
While walking throughout Istiklal Street in Taksim region, you’ll be able to see some prints of almost every color of the whole world; cultural, spiritual, fashion, different styles, people from all over the world during night and day time, music bands along the street and many many more.
You can then head up to Galata Tower for a dreamy day, unforgettable moment.It’s one of the eldest towers in the world which is open for visitor.You can enjoy traditional dances, belly dancers, showmen, harem show, cafeteria, lunch, dinner, Turkish night show and the excellent 360 Istanbul view of Istanbul…
