Most Popular Curacao Island Beaches, The Caribbean
Curacao (Papiamento: Kòrsou) is an island in the southern Caribbean Sea, off the coast of Venezuela. The uninhabited island of Klein Curaçao Curaçao is a country within the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Until October 10, 2010 was an island region and the largest island of the Netherlands Antilles. The capital and largest city on the island is Willemstad, former capital of the Netherlands Antilles. According to the latest census, Curaçao has a population of 149,679 (2011).
Playa Forti
Playa Forti is on the western tip of the island. This small beach has several coves and consists mainly of pebbles. It is an ideal place to go snorkeling, but also to take a break. You can also challenge the local youth by a beautiful dive from the surrounding rocks. Facilities include parasols, snack bar and restrooms.
Playa Kenepa Chiki
Playa Kenepa Chiki (Kleine Knip) is located a few hundred meters from the Grote Knip away. It is a nice and cozy beach manzalina between rocks and trees. The locals use this beach for the family to relax and to enjoy a barbecue. On weekends can be busy, but during the week you almost have the whole beach to yourself.
Hook’s Hut
This cozy beach you will find a small sandy beach on the beautiful Piscadera bay. In Hook’s Hut, you can enjoy a relaxed atmosphere, great music and delicious food. In the evening you can dine on the beach romantic and enjoy live music. The beach offers parasols, bar / restaurant, toilets and showers.
Mambo beach
This popular beach is located near the Curacao Sea Aquarium Beach. Mambo beach guarantees a cozy venue with live performances, fun parties, good restaurant, trendy bar and happy hour on Sunday. The beach has all facilities for a wonderful day at the beach.
Caracas Bay
This cozy beach near the Spanish Water is used to jog, take a rest, sunbathe or take a dip to relax. Caracas Bay is also a perfect snorkeling and diving spot. The beach has a snack bar but no other facilities.
Playa Jeremi
This small beach is nice and quiet and pretty lonely. Enjoy the peace of the natural beauty and crystal clear water. Playa Jeremi is ideal for sunbathing or just to relax and go snorkeling. The beach has no facilities.
Playa Lagun
This cozy beach is especially popular with the locals. It is a wonderful snorkeling and diving site and there is a restaurant where you can eat. The beach has some modest facilities.
Playa Santa Cruz
This stretched wide sandy beach is surrounded by hills, palm trees and exotic birds. Playa Santa Crus is an ideal place for a relaxing break, to snorkel or dive. Facilities include parasols, snack bar and restrooms.
Playa Porto Marie
Playa Porto Marie is located on the former plantation Porto Marie. It is a very nice sandy beach and an attractive snorkeling and diving spot. The beach has all the facilities for the whole family a fun day at the beach to spend. Playa Porto Marie is also popular with iguanas!
Playa Daaibooi
Enjoy the peace of this beautiful sandy beach with white sand and crystal clear water. Daaibooi is ideal to enjoy a snorkeling or enjoying a beautiful sunset. Facilities include parasols, snack bar and restrooms.
Playa Cas Abou
Playa Cas Abou is located in a secured resort with luxury villas by the sea. The beautiful sandy beach of Cas Abou is one of the most beautiful beaches of the island. You can entertain you all day sunbathing, swimming, snorkeling, eating, and also in the weekends for live music. The beach is fully equipped and has sunshades, shops, bar / restaurant, toilets and showers.
St Michel Bay
In the old fishing village of Boca Sami find this wonderful snorkeling and diving spot. At St Michel Bay, the atmosphere is friendly. You see mostly villagers who take a dip for a delicious coolness or fishermen engaged in the dagvangst. For an unforgettable diving experience you will have to go along with diving Wederfoort. At the same location, there are facilities such as bar / restaurant, toilets and showers.
Playa Kalki
Just beneath Kura Hulanda Lodge you will find this small beach between the limestone rocks. Playa Kalki has few facilities, but the location is one of the best snorkeling and dive locations on Curacao. In the crystal clear water you see mushroom shaped coral formations that will take you to nowhere. The number of fish here is very varied and colorful.
Playa Grande Kenapa
This beach also called Big Cut, is one of the most beautiful beaches of Curacao. Before going through the stone staircase descends to the beach, you will first need top for a while enjoying the magnificent views, the pearly white sand beach and the azure sea. It is a popular beach and so it can be crowded on weekends. The beach is equipped with parasols, snack bar and restrooms.
