Gozo Island; Tranquility of A Peaceful Vacation
|Gozo is one of the Maltese archipelago, situated in the Mediterranean. The island is less crowded than the neighboring island of Malta and is greener than the larger main island.
There is no airport, passengers are transported by ferry or helicopter. The only 2 resorts on the island are on the south and north east coast, namely, Xlendi and Marsalforn. Both towns are in a bay and have a small promenade / boardwalk. Both are fishing villages of origin, which has grown to modest resorts.
Gozo is mainly visited by tranquility, as mass tourism is not on the island and the facilities for tourists are mostly simple. In the interior are some, though not authentic accommodations set up in the form of a so-called farmhouse. Gozo has a large number of churches and from the port Ghajnsielem (Mgarr) a main road leading to the central, vibrant capital city Victoria.
